In 1847, several naval vessels reported encountering strange lights in the sky during their voyages. These lights were unlike any known celestial bodies or man-made objects of the time. Described as glowing orbs or disks, they would often hover above the ships, move at incredible speeds, or disappear suddenly, leaving the crew bewildered and anxious.
One of the most documented encounters occurred in the North Atlantic, where a British warship, HMS Albion, reported seeing a luminous object that followed the ship for several hours. According to the ship’s logs, the object emitted a bright, bluish light and performed maneuvers that were impossible for any known aircraft or natural phenomenon of the era. The crew, shaken by the encounter, could only speculate about what they had witnessed.
