Lionel Messi rents a custom 16-seat, $15 million private jet that has the number 10 on the tail.
With nine assists and 17 goals in 16 starts in all competitions, including moments of magic in one game and telepathic understanding in the next, it’s clear the 31-year-old is flying high this season.
But with this new plane you will be able to fly even higher and in style.
The custom plane was refurbished by an Argentine company, according to Goal.com, and “includes a kitchen, two bathrooms and 16 seats that can be folded down to form eight beds.”
It even has exclusive details, like a number 10 (Messi’s iconic shirt number for Barça and the Argentina national team) on the back, and the names of his wife, Antonela, and children written on the steps as you climb the stairs to board.
Reports indicate that Messi is only renting the plane, but the FC Barcelona forward receives approximately $630,000 per week and could easily afford to buy it outright if he wanted to.
Goal.com estimates that Messi is probably the fifth highest-paid player in world football, with the Argentine benefiting from a sponsorship deal with Adidas, as well as other contracts with Pepsi, Gillette and Turkish Airlines.
His net worth is estimated to be between $250 million and $285 million, according to Goal.com.
