After just one month of launching, Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube channel has surpassed many famous artists such as Taylor Swift and Eminem. The channel has reached over 62 million subscribers.
On the morning of September 21, Ronaldo scored his 902nd career goal, continuing his quest for the milestone of 1,000 goals. Not only that, but Ronaldo is also setting records on various multimedia platforms.
Since opening his YouTube channel, Ronaldo has quickly amassed one of the highest subscriber counts in the history of this video-sharing platform. Currently, CR7’s channel, UR Cristiano, has surpassed 62 million subscribers.
The growth rate of Ronaldo’s YouTube subscribers has left entertainment stars like Taylor Swift (60 million subscribers) and Eminem (61.9 million subscribers) behind.
Statistics show that just 90 minutes after launching the channel, Ronaldo gained 1 million subscribers, reaching 18 million within one day, and over 62 million after one month.
In mid-September, Ronaldo became the first celebrity in the world to reach 1 billion followers across social media platforms. Specifically, he has more than 639 million followers on Instagram (the most in the world), over 170.5 million followers on Facebook, more than 113 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), and 60.5 million followers on YouTube.
Ronaldo’s involvement with YouTube is sure to make the platform the most-watched video service in the world, surpassing Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Ronaldo’s YouTube channel has posted over 40 pieces of content on various topics related to him, from daily life, family, exercise, and nutrition habits to conversations with famous football personalities.
Ronaldo said: “I had this idea for a long time, but it wasn’t until last year that I felt the need to open a channel. YouTube allows me to connect with millions of fans around the world in the same way, regardless of their age and where they come from. I want them to see how I train, my nutrition, my lifestyle, and my conversations with friends, not just about football but also other topics.
I want to share my moments outside of football, and that’s why I think opening a channel now is fitting. Will the amount of content increase? That’s for sure, and it also depends on the ‘demand’ from the fans. I owe them this for their support and companionship throughout my career.”
