Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are having a momentous year. After Mahomes led the Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl championships, the former high-school sweethearts announced they were expecting their third child together.
Just before the 2024 NFL season kicked off, the Mahomes, along with their two kids, Sterling 3, and Bronze, 21 months, traveled to Rhode Island to spend time at Taylor Swift’s estate. During the weekend getaway, Swift, along with her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, hosted a star-studded 37th birthday dinner for the singer’s close friend, Blake Lively.
As for Brittany, who turned 29 on August 31, she started celebrating her birthday the night before with a lavish dinner party. Brittany and her husband hosted the celebratory meal at their home with several friends. However Swift, along with Kelce, were noticeably absent.
Brittany posted a photo on her Instagram Stories of Lyndsay Bell, whose husband, Blake Bell, used to play tight end for the Chiefs, and Melissa Matthews. Brittany’s friend Paige Buechele, whose husband, Shane Buechele is Mahomes’ former backup quarterback, posted on her Instagram Stories that she was heading to the party, as did Miranda Hogue, another close pal of the Kansas City Current co-owner.
On Saturday, Matthews revealed the party was switching locations, as she posted a video on her Instagram Stories of Brittany stepping onto to private jet set up with party decorations.
Swift could be meeting up with birthday crew later. Per Buechele’s Instagram Story post, the girls traveled to Chicago.
While the 14-time Grammy winner and Brittany recently drew attention for their differing political views, the soon-to-be mom of three posted a message that appeared to shut down rumors of any rift between the two women.
Brittany shared a quote on her Instagram Stories that read, “Contrary to the tone of the world today… You can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind.” She then added, “Read that again!”
